Use Extract Pages tool instead—more efficient. Deleting all-but-5 pages from 100-page PDF means typing 95 page numbers. Extracting 5 pages means typing 5 numbers. Example: keep pages 10,25,50 from 100-page doc → use Extract with '10,25,50' input.
Tool creates empty 0-page PDF or throws error depending on browser. Original file never modified—reload page and retry. Recommendation: preview page count before processing. If deleting >50% of pages, consider Extract Pages tool for inverse operation safety.
Roughly proportional but not exact. Deleting 5 pages from 10-page PDF reduces size ~50%. Not exact because: PDF overhead (metadata, fonts, structure) remains constant regardless of page count. If deleted pages contain large images, size reduction greater. If deleted pages mostly text, reduction smaller.

No undo—deletion is permanent in output file. However, original PDF never modified. Keep both files: original (untouched) and edited version. To restore deleted pages, re-upload original and process differently. Recommendation: test on copy before processing important documents.
Bookmarks pointing to deleted pages: removed entirely. Bookmarks for remaining pages: preserved with updated page numbers (if TOC pointed to page 10, now points to page 8 after deleting 2 earlier pages). External bookmarks (URLs): unaffected. Internal cross-references: recalculated automatically.
Only if PDF allows editing (user password, not owner password). If PDF is edit-locked, browser can't modify it. Workaround: use PDF password removal tool first, then delete pages. Or if you have owner password, unlock PDF in Adobe/Preview, save unlocked version, then use our tool.
