Select the output frame rate for your video

Convert your video to a specific frame rate directly in your browser. Useful for normalizing variable frame rate footage, reducing file size, or matching the frame rate required by an editor or platform. Output is always clean MP4.

How to Change Video Frame Rate

01

Upload a video file (MP4, WebM, MOV, AVI, or MKV)

02

Select the target frame rate — 30fps for general use, 24fps for a cinematic look, 60fps for smooth motion

03

Click Process and download your converted MP4

24fps vs 30fps vs 60fps — which to choose

24fps: Cinematic look, smaller file size, standard for film and TV
24fps: Motion can look choppy for fast action or gaming content
30fps: Good balance, widely supported, standard for web and social media
30fps: Not ideal for very fast motion where 60fps would be noticeably smoother
60fps: Smooth motion, ideal for gaming, sports, and action footage
60fps: Larger file size, can look overly sharp or hyper-real for narrative content

Key Features

24, 30, and 60 FPS Output

Convert to the three most common frame rates. 24fps for cinematic video, 30fps for general sharing, 60fps for smooth motion and gaming content.

Normalize Variable Frame Rate

Screen recordings and phone footage often have variable frame rates (VFR) that cause sync issues in editors. Converting to a fixed frame rate resolves this.

Reduces File Size at Lower Frame Rates

Converting from 60fps to 30fps reduces the number of frames encoded by half, which directly reduces file size and encoding time.

No Upload Required

All processing happens locally in your browser. Your video never leaves your device.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which frame rate should I choose?

30fps is the safe default for sharing, social media, and general use. 24fps gives a cinematic film look and is standard for movies. 60fps is ideal for gaming content, sports, or any footage with fast motion.

What is variable frame rate and why does it cause problems?

Variable frame rate (VFR) means the frame rate changes over time within a single file. This is common with screen recordings and phone footage. Many video editors and platforms expect a constant frame rate, causing audio sync drift or stuttering with VFR input. Converting to a fixed frame rate fixes this.

Will converting to a higher frame rate make my video smoother?

No. Converting a 30fps video to 60fps duplicates frames — it does not add new motion information. True 60fps content must be captured at 60fps. Use a higher output rate only if your target platform or editor requires it.

Is there a file size limit?

The tool enforces a 500MB limit.

Which browsers are supported?

Chrome 94+ and Edge 94+ are fully supported. Chrome is recommended for best performance.
